Microsoft Train Simulator

Release Date Between May 25 and June 5

As some of you might know, Microsoft has been developing a train simulator game. This game is to be released in Spring of 2001 and so far it looks like they have done an outstanding job with the program.

From their web site, I have been informed that you will be able to create your own routes by shaping the terrain, laying track and signals, placing objects, and so on. You'll be able to setup traffic on the line, along with timetables, and other parameters (such as snow, rain, etc.). There will also be automobile traffic at grade crossings. As you can tell, I'm excited about this new product and I'm hoping that you and me can create a site where we can share....

Custom made

  • Locomotives (Steam, Electric, Diesel)
  • Railroad lines (Railroads within Ohio)
  • And conversations (Message Board)

I think it would be nice to have a website that all people from Ohio can share there creations of Ohio lines with other people.

If wish to see this on the site, along with information on railroads in Ohio.  Please contact me and let me know.  I need to make a guess on the amount of traffic we would be seeing and how I will setup with the website.

Thank you,

Brian Minnich :)
